Wick Grange Farm is taking part in Open Farm Sunday again this year.  Wick Care Farm staff and volunteers are working alongside Tom to host a range of activities and tours as well as producing a huge range of cakes, rolls and drinks.

Trailer rides start from 11am and will take about 30 mins and will continue until the last one about 2.30pm. The trailer stops a couple of times and Tom will discuss what is growing on the farm and what measures he has taken to help the conservation of wildlife.

Meet our hand reared lambs

Tracey Bryant will be here with her latest books

In the barn, you will be able to meet some of our hand reared lambs, our chicks and  young ducklings.  Also in there you will be able to try some craft activities and meet the children's author Tracey Bryant.

In the other barn, bee keeper Keith will be there with a demonstration hive and other equipment - Can you spot the queen?
There will also be a chance to make a candle using a sheet of beeswax.

Wick Care Farm and their volunteers will be baking again, producing an array of wonderful tasty cakes as well as soup and filled rolls.  However, if you wish to bring a picnic, you are most welcome to find a comfortable spot and enjoy the sunshine.

Outside you will have the chance to look around the farm and the area which is used by the Care Farm to grow produce and to help rear some animals - a flock of Jacob sheep, weaner pigs, geese, ducks and chickens.  There will be a quiz to help answer.
Also you can try your hand at a number of other activities to do with planting, the soil and bug hunting.

Holiday Activities and parties at Wick Grange Farm

We have had requests to cater for both younger and older children for holiday activities. If you are interested in holiday activities, we can take group bookings for about 10-25 people.

Children can enjoy a party with a difference at Wick Grange Farm.  We can put on a party  for any aged children from 2 upwards.  Activities and themes are tailored to suit the interests and abilities of the children.
