Farm

The Crops:

Barley, wheat, linseed, oil seed rape and millet are grown on the farm alongside salad onions, dwarf beans, brassicas and peas.

20.5 acres of field margins are currently in stewardship. They are cut  for hay late in the season after the flowers have set seed. This annual cutting helps to maintain the wildflowers.

The barley is grown on a seed contract and wheat is grown for seed and feed. The salad onions and dwarf beans are also grown on contract and are picked by hand.

The 30 acres of grassland and river meadows are in stewardship; they are grazed by sheep and cattle and managed for hay.
